Capturing Memories with a Surrey Wedding Photographer
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life therefore it’s essential that every moment is captured and preserved for generations to come. As a Surrey wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing Tash & Sofia’s gorgeous summer wedding at Woodcote Park last July, one of the most popular wedding venues in the area.
Woodcote Park is a beautiful wedding venue that offers a perfect setting for your wedding day. The venue boasts luscious grounds, stunning architecture and elegant event spaces which all provide an amazing variety of breathtaking backdrops. As a wedding photographer, I was spoiled for choice at Woodcote Park. With a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, Woodcote Park offers a range of options for your wedding ceremony, reception and photographs. Whether you’re after a traditional church wedding, an outdoor ceremony, or an intimate gathering in a beautiful setting, Woodcote Park has it all.
Tash and Sofia initially met on Tinder and after being together for 6 years Tash popped the question whilst they were enjoying a romantic weekend away. On our initial Zoom chat Tash told me that she hadn’t realised that the hotel she booked was actually haunted and Sofia saw a ghost that night! A very unique and memorable proposal story! After lots of laughs on our call I could tell straight away how much fun these two were going to be to work with.
This gorgeous pair had previously tied the knot at a small private ceremony; however, they wanted to mark the occasion with family & friends and throw on a big party for everyone. They chose Woodcote Park to celebrate their marriage as Tash spent a lot of time there whilst growing up with her family.
Pre Wedding Photo Shoot at Woodcote Park
Tash & Sofia decided that they wanted to have their pre wedding photo shoot at Woodcote Park so that we could take a look around the venue together and discover all of the best photo spots before their big day. As you can see in the photos below the well kept gardens, meadow and golf course at Woodcote offer so much variety for backdrops.
During their photo session the heavens suddenly opened so we rushed inside and explored the first floor and the Derby room which is where Tash & Sofia were considering holding a first look before their ceremony. At the end of the session we were blessed with a beautiful rainbow whilst we explored the flower meadow which was just stunning.
Wedding Preparations at Woodcote Park
Tash & Sofia both prepared for their wedding celebration in different rooms at Woodcote Park which meant that I could nip between them both. Sofia and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by the amazing Niki Mare whilst Tash and her Groomsmaids prepared in another luxurious bedroom. The accommodation at Woodcote Park is perfect for wedding photography as all of the rooms have large windows that allow lots of natural light to flood in. The beautiful flowers you can see below were created by the wonderful Louise’s Flower Boutique.
The First Look
Tash & Sofia decided that they wanted to do a first look before their ceremony in the Derby room at Woodcote Park. A first look is when a couple chooses to see each other before their ceremony in a beautiful, private setting whilst their photographer captures this emotional moment. First look photos are always incredible! Neither of you feel like you have to hold back your emotions and this special moment creates amazing, natural photography.
The Ceremony
Tash & Sofia chose to have their ceremony outside overlooking the pristine golf course at Woodcote Park. This outdoor space created the perfect setting for this happy couple to exchange their vows in front of their loved ones and they were blessed with a beautiful warm & sunny day. Their ceremony consisted of lots of gorgeous unique elements such as walking down the aisle together, personalised vows, a beautifully decorated Chuppah and a brilliant glass smash from Tash at the end of the ceremony.
Family Portraits at Woodcote Park
Family portraits are an important part of every wedding day as they capture the relationships between the couple and their families at this significant moment in their lives. Tash and Sophia’s were extra special to them as a large number of Sophia’s family had flown over from Sweden to celebrate with them. I chose to capture these important memories in front of the grand staircase as it offers a beautiful grand backdrop and it was perfectly shaded, providing an even light and a cooler location for their guests.
Afternoon Celebrations at Woodcote Park
Tash & Sofia’s wedding day was such a gorgeous day filled with so much love, laughter & happiness which I absolutely loved documenting every second of. As you can see Woodcote Park offers a gorgeous outdoor space which is perfect for newlyweds to congregate with their guests after their ceremony.

The Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast was held in the main building at Woodcote Park and between courses there were some incredible heartfelt speeches delivered by Tash, her Dad and Sofia’s Sisters.
Woodcote Park’s staff are always on hand to ensure that your day runs smoothly and they are always happy to help in any way they can. They understand the importance of capturing every moment of your special day, and they are great at working closely with your wedding photographer to ensure that you receive a beautiful and timeless set of wedding photographs.
The Evening Reception
Tash & Sofia started their evening reception with the cutting of their cake followed by their first dance. They opted for a DJ who did an amazing job at keeping their guests up dancing all night.
