Broughton Water Buffalo Farm Wedding - Stockbridge Wedding Photographer
Emily & Josh began their wedding day preparations in Longstock, an idyllic & traditional English Village near Winchester in the heart of Hampshire. The combination of beautiful old English thatched cottages, rolling hills and the beautiful River Test made it feel like a real life fairy tale!
Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary C of E Church in Longstock Village. The Church lies in Hampshire on the western bank of the River Test, to the north of Stockbridge and to the west of Leckford. St. Marys Church was surrounded with gorgeous wild flowers which created a stunning foreground.
Following Emily & Josh's wedding ceremony in Longstock their reception was held at Broughton Water Buffalo Farm. Located directly in the middle of Winchester and Salisbury, Broughton Water Buffalo Farm has a beautiful setting in the rolling Hampshire Chalk Downs. The Barn offers a blank canvas approach to the hiring of the venue where Emily & Josh sure made it their own! From their tasteful bunting & fairy lights to their unique flower arrangements in gin bottles you could tell how much time and effort had gone into making the venue look perfect.
When the guests first arrived at Broughton Water Buffalo Farm they enjoyed a refreshing glass of champagne outside on the hay bales in the sunshine as they caught up on all of the excitement! Whilst the wedding guests were enjoying the refreshments the bride and groom were whisked away for some stunning couple shots by "The Bunny", a part of the River Test that offers gorgeous views with the little fishing hut!
Upon the bride & groom's arrival to Broughton Water Buffalo Farm in their vintage Land Rover they received a warm welcome as newlyweds from friends and family. The meal & speeches were held inside the rustic barn which provided a gorgeous ambience. The stylish fairy lights and beautiful flower arrangements really made the venue come alive. Emily & Josh had a traditional marquee outside the barn for friends and family to shelter from the hot summers day.
Emily & Joshua met at university whilst studying music and are now both music teachers in high schools. Along with teaching music they also perform in several local bands. It seemed very fitting that they both hosted and accompanied 'Black Water County' for a great party on their wedding night!
