As a Bury Court Barn wedding photographer based in Farnham, Surrey, this has become one of my favourite local venues. Let’s chat about Siân and Josh’s incredible wedding!
Meet Sian & Josh
Let me introduce you to this gorgeous couple, Siân and Josh. Having been together for 8 wonderful years, Siân and Josh got engaged on Boxing Day in 2022. Their heartwarming proposal took place on a beautiful stroll through the enchanting Forest Old Dean.
They chose Bury Court Barn as their wedding venue because it matched the relaxed vibe they were looking for perfectly. They envisioned a day of meaningful moments where they could walk down the aisle together, and celebrate with fajitas and karaoke. From the very beginning, it was evident that Siân and Josh’s wedding would be one to remember. A beautiful celebration filled with love, laughter, and so many unique personal touches.
We had so much fun at their Together Session. I include this complimentary photoshoot because it’s the perfect opportunity to have a little practice in front of the camera and for us to get to know each other before your wedding day.
Their Wedding at Bury Court Barn
Siân and Josh’s wedding day at Bury Court Barn was absolutely stunning. The venue was adorned with a sage green colour theme, complementing the gorgeous surrounding countryside. Siân made her bridesmaids the most gorgeous fabric makeup bags, which was the sweetest gift during bridal prep.
As the ceremony began, Siân and Josh made it their own by straying from tradition and walking down the aisle together, hand in hand. The love and warmth that filled the room was indescribable, and truly set the tone for the rest of the day.
The reception took place with a gorgeous relaxed dining experience, full of delicious nachos and fajitas. The top table, which was filled with 14 of their closest friends, created the most joyous atmosphere, with laughter and many fun stories. To add even more of a personal touch, the couple made all of their own wedding favours, which were little personalised bottles of gin! Continuing her creativity, the bride Siân even made a huge selection of delicious cakes for their guests for dessert. Their whole wedding day was so lovingly planned, down to every tiny detail.
One of the most memorable moments of the day was when Siân and Josh took to the dance floor to perform their “first song” instead of a traditional first dance. With the band playing “Life is a Rollercoaster” by Ronan Keating, the couple completely surprised their guests with this super fun performance.
Siân and Josh’s wedding at Bury Court Barn was nothing short of magical. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.
